Scotland Itinerary – 1 week (for my upcoming trip)

Scotland Itinerary – 1 week

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share my Scotland itinerary for 1 week with you. I’m going to Scotland this April/May with my father and I love Scotland so, so much! Traveling in general, actually.

And so, I also really love to make, plan and design travel itineraries. I thought it was perhaps time to share them with you! Starting with this one from Scotland. Underneath this interactive, travel map, there’s also a day to day schedule that belongs with it.

I hope I could be of some help or inspiration for you! Ask me any question you want to, and of course I will answer them!

Day to day: One week itinerary through Scotland!

Day 1: We start off in Edinburgh, visiting The beautiful castle and Holyrood palace. Maybe even grabbing some lunch at The Elephant café (where Harry Potter was first written).

Day 2: On the second day we go to the beautiful Arthur’s seat and watch the city from there. We’re also going to participate in one of the Mary King’s close tours (I highly recommend that one!).

Day 3: In the morning we set of towards Inverness – the Highland capital. During this road tour we’ll visit several locations that I mapped out in the personal google map above! Locations like: Stirling, Glen Coe, Fort William and Loch Ness.

Day 4: We spend the night in Inverness and head out in the morning to Culloden Battlefield (YAY Outlander). And after that we head over to Isle of Skye. Trying to visit Dunvegan castle this same day!

Day 5: The first full day in Isle of Skye after spending the night in Dunvegan. First we go to Dunvegan castle (if we didn’t make it the day before) and after that we’ll drive around Isle of Skye to watch the beautiful surroundings. Also trying to go to Neist point (Beautiful!!).

Day 6: The last full day in Scotland. Driving back from Dunvegan to Edinburgh. Trying to catch some marvelous views on the way and stop at Stirling castle & Doune castle, of we didn’t do that on the third day!

Day 7: We spent the final morning in Edinburgh and head over to the airport!

I hope you got some useful inspiration/information from my trip itinerary! I’m so excited to go, I miss Scotland so much!

That sounds like such a hectic trip (in a good way)! I’m so envious of you seeing the cafe that Harry potter was written in. I’ve never been to Scotland, but it’s pretty high up on my bucket list at the moment
